Understanding the nature of stress at a detailed level is the basis upon which we can start to manage it effectively. The Personal Stress and Well-being Assessment provides a simple but thorough process by which we can better understand our own stress handling skills.

The Personal Stress and Well Being assessment provides scores on 7 competencies that impact personal stress levels:

  • Predisposition (Do you put yourself under pressure?)
  • Physical Fitness (Do you actively manage your physical condition?)
  • Nutrition and Diet (Do you influence your eating choices to eat healthier?)
  • Personal Well-being (Do you avoid practices that are bad for your body?)
  • Emotional Balance (Are you in emotional balance most of the time?)
  • Emotional Habits and Control (Can you control your emotions?)
  • Work Life (Do you manage and control your work or does it control you?)

This self scoring assessment enables you to identify specific behaviors and competencies that may be contributing to higher stress levels for you. There are recommendations for action that low scorers can take to reduce their stress.

The Facilitator's Guide for this assessment contains sets of coaching tips for each stress behavior or factor, enabling participants to improve their stress profiles wherever they have development needs.
