Chester Delaney
A former monk, priest, and teacher, Chet Delaney served as a computer programmer at Avis Rent-A-Car and at the Federal Reserve Bank of NY, where he was asked to take over the technology training dept. He was recruited to join Chase to manage its technology training, which he did for roughly a decade. He then moved into general HR work at Chase. He took an early retirement package in 1995 and went into business for himself as an independent consultant. A steady part of his consulting was teaching business writing. Another major focus in his practice was working with companies on the installation and use of competency models for professionals. He retired (almost fully!) at the end of 2006.
