David W. Jamieson, Ph.D.

David W. Jamieson, Ph.D., is President of the Jamieson Consulting Group. For nearly 30 years he has assisted organizations on strategy, design, change, and human resource issues. He has consulted with organizations of all sizes, across varying industries and in both public and private sectors, combining his in-depth knowledge base with practical expertise in many crucial organizational areas: formulating strategies; designing organizations; evolving desired cultures; creating and facilitating change strategies; managing for high performance, quality, and service;
creating diversity-friendly organizations; building effective teams; and developing leaders for the future.

David is highly respected as well for his work as author, speaker, leader, and educator. He co-authored the best-selling book Managing Workforce 2000: Gaining the Diversity Advantage (Jossey-Bass, 1991) and has published works on such organizational issues as managing workforce diversity, developing teams and team-based organizations, and organizational alignment. He is currently a member of the editorial boards for Journal of Organizational Change Management, and Organization Development Practitioner. Previously, Dave served in leadership roles for many professional groups. He has served as president of the American Society for Training and Development (1984), President of the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (1985–86), and chair of the Managerial Consultation Division of the Academy of Management (1995–96).

Dr. Jamieson received a Ph.D. in management from UCLA. He is an adjunct professor of management in the Graziadio School of Business and Management and is a visiting professor for the Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University, where he serves as Academic Director for the doctoral program in organizational change and as a faculty member in the Master of Science in Organization Development (MSOD) program.

At present, David is focused on advancing our understanding of organization change and consultation. He divides his time between consulting in organization change, educating executives and practitioners of change, and writing to bridge knowledge and practice.
