Darin Hartley

 

Darin Hartley has been working in the training industry for the past nineteen years and has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Corporate Training and Training Management. He is the Developer of New Business Ventures for the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD). He managed various teams at Dell Learning during his five years at Dell Computer Corporation. Darin has presented previously at ISPI International, ASTD International, and the ASTD Technical Skills Training Conference on a variety of topics. He has authored articles for T+D, Technical & Skills Training, and WorkForce Magazines. Darin wrote his first book, Job Analysis at the Speed of Reality, for HRD Press in 1999 and his second book, On-Demand Learning: Training in the New Millennium in March of 2000. Darin's third book, Selling E-Learning, was published in September 2001. Darin is on the Editorial Board of T+D Magazine.

Prior to Dell, Darin worked for Lockheed Martin, EG&G, General Physics Corporation, and the US Navy as a nuclear power plant operator (eight years). He currently resides in Georgetown, Texas just north of Austin.
