Johnny Lee

Johnny Lee is the founding director of Peace@Work, a non-profit organization committed to the prevention of violence in the workplace. He provides consulting services to businesses and nonprofit organizations on the escalating problem of domestic violence, specializing in program development and training for human resource professionals, chambers of commerce, state and county agencies, and private corporations.

Before founding Peace@Work, Johnny Lee served as the workplace violence specialist for the North Carolina Office of State Personnel, where he was responsible for helping state agencies develop or revise their workplace violence policies to include a domestic violence component.
He was an active member of the North Carolina Domestic Violence Commission, and has worked directly with victims of domestic violence from incident to prosecution as victim services coordinator for a major metropolitan police department. Before becoming involved with violence prevention, he
spent six years heading up adventure and leadership programs for Outward Bound.

Johnny Lee sits on the boards of the North Carolina Continuity Business Planners, the North Carolina Interagency Council of Victim Services, and the North Carolina Victim Assistance Network, and participates in task forces to raise awareness and coordinate services to victims of family violence. He holds a Master’s degree from Mankato State University in Minnesota and writes about issues related to the subject of domestic violence for such publications as The Journal of Safe Management of Disruptive and Assaultive Behavior.
