William J. Rothwell, Ph.D.
William J. Rothwell, Ph.D. is Professor of
Human Resource Development in
the Department of Adult Education, Instructional Systems and Workforce Education and
Development in the College of Education on the University Park Campus of The Pennsylvania
State University. He is also an active private consultant. Before arriving at Penn State in 1993, he
was Assistant Vice President and Management Development Director for The Franklin Life
Insurance Company and, before that, Training Director for the Illinois Office of the Auditor. He
has thus worked full-time in Workplace Learning and Performance from 1979 to the present.
